SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Mr. Hamud M. Balfas joined ABNR as an associate in January 2000. Before joining ABNR, he worked for other law firms, an oil company, and for the Jakarta Stock Exchange as Head of its Surveillance Division (1992 to 1999). He is a law graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia, majoring in Civil Law, and of the Notary Program of the same university. In 1996 he earned his LL.M degree in the USA, majoring in International Banking and Financial Law Studies. In ABNR, he has been involved in matters of corporate law, capital market, banking and labour, as well as in litigation work. He has also participated in a number of restructurings undertaken by the ABNR team, working on behalf of the consortium of lenders. He currently teaches in the graduate program of a faculty of law and in a public accountant training program. He has written a book on Indonesian Capital Market Law, and regularly writes articles in the local media and academic journals. He is also a licensed attorney.
