ABNR advises Lenders on Muara Laboh Unit-2 Geothermal Power Project

ABNR is proud to assist various financial institutions in providing financing to PT Supreme Energy Muara Laboh in partaking major role to support Indonesia’s clean energy future with the financial close of the Muara Laboh Unit-2 Geothermal Power Project. Once commercially operating, Muara Laboh Geothermal Power Plant will generate power with capacity of approximately 2 x 80 MW for the region of West Sumatera, Indonesia.

 

This milestone marks progress not just for a single project, but for the country’s broader push to scale up geothermal energy—one of its most abundant and underutilized renewable resources. Located in West Sumatra, the project is set to significantly strengthen the national energy mix and support decarbonization goals as part of Indonesia’s target to achieve net zero emission by 2060 or earlier.

 

ABNR advised the Finance Parties which consists of among others the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, Asian Development Bank, Nippon Export and Investment Insurance, MUFG Bank, Ltd., Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Singapore Branch, Mizuho Bank, Ltd and the Hyakugo Bank Ltd.
