ABNR Welcomes Two New Partners
ABNR Counsellors at Law is pleased to announce the appointment of two new partners, Mr. Rully Hidayat and Mr. Mahatma Hadhi. Their appointments, effective 1 January 2024, bring the total number of partners at ABNR to 23 (including two Netherlands-qualified and one New York-qualified foreign counsel).
Mahatma, who joined the firm in 2007, specializes in energy and natural resources, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), project finance and development, and foreign direct investment (FDI), with an emphasis on the energy and natural resources sectors. In particular, he offers practical, in-depth regulatory and operational expertise in the extractive industries, with his recent work including high-profile investments and projects in the downstream gold, nickel, bauxite, and iron-ore sectors. He holds an LL.M. with merit from Queen Mary University of London, majoring in Energy and Natural Resources Law.
Rully has been with ABNR since 2014. His key practice areas are banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital markets, general corporate, and foreign direct investment (FDI). Prior to joining ABNR, he practiced at a prominent law firm with an ASEAN presence, and subsequently served as foreign counsel for 18 months at one of the big-four Japanese law firms, Anderson Mori & Tomotsune, where he gained extensive experience of multijurisdictional M&As and other corporate transactions. He holds an LL.M. in corporate and international business studies from the University of Sydney, Australia.
