We are proud to have advised PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) (KAI) on securing a landmark syndicated investment credit facility for the major procurement of hundreds of SS New Generation train carriages, under KAI’s 2023–2026 Replacement Program.
The facility agreement, signed on 17 March 2025, represents a key step in KAI’s long-term plan to modernize its fleet and enhance the reliability of its passenger and freight services. The financing was led by PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) and PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) (SMI), with collaboration from all stakeholders involved.
The ABNR team advising on the transaction included partner Ayik Candrawulan Gunadi and of counsel Rita Taufik, supported by Reynard Munando, Nina Cornelia Santoso, Novario Asca, Claudia Inggrid Hartanto, Kenny Poltak, and Gladyne Mesepy.
This transaction underscores ABNR’s continued commitment to enabling transformative infrastructure projects that promote sustainable growth and enhance public mobility across Indonesia.
