Adithya, a member of ABNR’s award-winning litigation team, joined ABNR in September 2010 and is now a senior associate. His main areas of practice encompass Shipping and Maritime, Commercial Litigation, Restructuring and Insolvency, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
In Shipping and Maritime, he has represented and advised many international P&I Clubs and listed shipping companies, including PT Temas Tbk, British Marine P&I Club, Japan P&I Club, and Shipowners Mutual Protection and Indemnity Association, in litigation and disputes relating to cargo damage, vessel collision, ship arrest, insurance claims, crew welfare claims, marine environmental damage, shipwrecks and maritime criminal offences.
In Commercial Litigation, he has acted for numerous state-owned and multinational companies in dispute resolution processes, both in and out of court, including the Indonesian subsidiaries of Baker Hughes, NOV Inc., Semen Indonesia Group, and Plaza Indonesia Group, to name a few.
In Restructuring and Insolvency, he has represented creditors and debtors in a long list of debt restructuring and bankruptcy proceedings, including creditor aircraft lessors in the debt restructuring of national flag carrier PT Garuda Indonesia and the bond trustee in the debt restructuring of Sritex group.
In Arbitration and ADR, he has extensive experience advising both domestic and overseas clients in a wide variety of arbitration matters, including arbitration proceedings at the Indonesian National Board of Arbitration (BANI), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC). He has also been involved in multiple construction arbitration disputes involving FIDIC Standard Contracts.
Adithya graduated from the University of Indonesia, majoring in international law in 2010. In 2014, he received an Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education scholarship to pursue a master’s degree, and in December 2015 graduated with an LL.M with Merit at Queen Mary University of London, majoring in comparative and international dispute resolution.
