Danny has been with ABNR since 2011 and is a senior associate focusing on real estate and project finance and development. He is recommended for Real Estate by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific.

In real estate, Danny has advised a broad range of clients on numerous aspects of Indonesian land law, including land acquisition, land due diligence, sales and purchases, relinquishments, leases, utilization arrangements, land-swaps, and real property-related security interests. He also regularly supports clients across a variety of sectors, such as industrial estates, special economic zones, and infrastructure and industrial developments,including power plants, waste-to-energy projects, data centers, factories and warehouses — as well as residential and commercial developments, including housing complexes, villas, apartments and office towers.

Recent highlights of his real estate works include:

• Representing a leading UK-based data center developer and operator and its Indonesian subsidiary in the long-term lease of land in Bekasi for the development of a data center.

• Assisting a Hong Kong industrial company and its Indonesian subsidiary in acquiring 45 hectares of land in Central Java for a shoe factory.

• Advising a consortium of Korea-based companies and their Indonesian partner with the acquisition of 400 hectares of land in Bekasi for an industrial complex.

• Assisting the Indonesian subsidiary of a Japanese multinational conglomerate in acquiring 20 hectares of land in an industrial estate near Jakarta.

• Supporting the China-based sponsor of the South Jakarta Intermediate Treatment Facility (ITF) project in land acquisition for project development.

• Advising a Sri Lanka-based plantation company on land acquisition matters for its Indonesian subsidiary’s palm plantations in Kalimantan.

• Representing a China-based IT services provider and its Indonesian subsidiary in securing land in a Special Economic Zone in Batam for a data center.

• Supporting the Netherland-based specialty chemicals and ingredients company and its Indonesian subsidiary in the sale of a warehouse and lease of office space in Jakarta.

• Assisting the Indonesian subsidiary of a major South Korean tobacco company with land acquisition in an industrial estate in East Java.

• Supporting the China-based sponsor of the Bekasi Waste-to-Energy (WTE) project in the acquisition of land required for the project.

• Advising the Indonesian subsidiary of a France-based multinational food-products company on various land matters, including the acquisition of land for a water processing and bottling plant.

• Assisting the Indonesian subsidiary of a leading London-based mobile gaming company in leasing prime office space in Jakarta.

• Representing the subsidiary of a major Indonesian sea transportation company in acquiring land in a prime area in Jakarta for an office tower development.

• Advising an Indonesian manufacturing company on land acquisition as part of land-swap arrangement with a local government.
   

In project finance and development, Danny has and continues to advise lenders on the financing of Indonesian power projects, with a particular focus on Indonesian security interests. His experience includes work on many of the country’s most significant energy infrastructure developments, such as Tanjung Jati B Units 1-4 and Units 5&6, Sarulla Geothermal, Banten IPP, Semangka Hydroelectric, Central Java PPP, Kalsel Coal-Fired Power Plant, Cirebon Steam Power Plant and its expansion, as well as the Muara Laboh and Rantau Dedap Geothermal Projects, and in the expansion project and project refinancing.

Danny graduated cum laude from the Faculty of Law, Parahyangan Catholic University. He then completed the Master of Notarial Science program at the Faculty of Law, Padjadjaran University, from which he also graduated cum laude.
