Pulkeria (Poppy) joined ABNR in May 2018 and became an associate in December 2018. She graduated cumlaude from the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University, majoring in business law. In 2017, Pulkeria completed her LL.M program with Merit at the Queen Mary, University of London, United Kingdom, majoring in International Economic Law.

During her university years, Poppy managed to secure third place in the Asia – Pacific Regional Rounds of the Foreign Direct Investment Arbitration Moot Court in Seoul, South Korea, advancing to the Global Rounds in Frankfurt, Germany. In 2015, she received an Honorable Mention for Demonstrating Exemplary Performance Award at her 7th GNLU International Moot Court Competition in Gujarat, India. The same year, she was awarded a Lotus Unlimited Scholarship from the European Commission for an exchange semester at the Law Faculty of the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Before joining ABNR, Pulkeria worked at one of the “Big Four” accounting firms, focusing on tax and transfer pricing.

At ABNR, Poppy's main practice areas encompass Civil & Commercial Litigation, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, Restructuring and Insolvency, and Employment Disputes.

In Civil & Commercial Litigation, she has represented clients in contractual and civil disputes and tort claims both in and out of- court. She is adept in advising litigation strategies for civil and commercial disputes and handling legal and practical issues arising from these engagements. She had assisted and successfully defended, among others: (i) an Indonesian subsidiary of a publicly-listed Thailand-based financing company against IDR 104 billion of contractual breach claim brought by an Indonesian publicly listed bank; (ii) a publicly-listed Indonesian shipping company against IDR 11 billion of tort claim brought by an insurance company; (iii) an Indonesian subsidiary of a German luxury automobile manufacturer against IDR 100 billion of a civil claim brought by an individual.

In Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, she has extensive experience in counseling domestic and international clients in arbitration matters under BANI and SIAC, including defending an Indonesian contractor in a 50 billion contractual claim brought by an Indonesian company in a condotel construction project. She also handles the enforcement process of international arbitration awards in Indonesia and the issues from there, where she successfully defended an Italian-based company against an annulment of the awards claim brought by an Indonesian state-owned company.  

In Restructuring and Insolvency, she has represented creditors in high-profile debt restructuring and bankruptcy proceedings, including lessors in the debt restructuring of national flag carrier PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero), Tbk and an Indonesian airline, PT Sriwijaya Air.

In Employment Disputes, she has provided advice and assistance for multinational companies in employment termination, negotiations, mediations, and investigations. She has also represented clients before employment authorities and the Industrial Relations Court for employment disputes.

Aside from her main areas of practice, she also assisted teams in the corporate/M&A, Project Financing, and Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) that advises the contentious and litigation-related aspects, as well as the transactions themselves. Her highlight includes her representation of PT Indo Raya Tenaga (Project Company) in USD 2.7 billion project financing for the 2,000MW Jawa 9-10 Power Project, of which the Project was awarded as Project Finance Deal of the Year by Asian Legal Business in 2021.
