Zefanya, or Ze as she is familiarly known, is an associate at ABNR. She commenced her career at another prestigious law firm in Indonesia before venturing into the private sector, where she worked successively at a Thailand-based technology startup and at an Indonesian listed media and entertainment company. Subsequently, she practiced at an internationally affiliated Indonesian law firm.

She focuses her practice on real estate, general corporate, foreign direct investment (FDI), and mergers & acquisitions (M&A).

In real estate, Ze has assisted clients with a range of diverse transactions, including land and building acquisitions of lands (in relation to vacant plots, sites in industrial estates, textile factories, strata-title shopping centers, and office buildings).

She has also advised on leasing agreements for diverse activities that include animal husbandry and co-working space, and land utilization agreements for state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and related entities. In addition, she has assisted with a long list of matters involving land ownership issues, land title registration, villa estate regulation, and the leasing of SOE property.

In general corporate, FDI and M&A, she has advised local and foreign-owned companies on foreign ownership issues, corporate governance, amendment of corporate documents, licensing, and a variety of other corporate matters, such as business restructuring, ownership restructuring, and business unit spin-offs.

In addition, she has worked on share acquisition transactions and share subscriptions, and has assisted with the drafting of the relevant corporate approvals and transaction documents, such as CSPA, SHA, and CSSA, and advised on the obtaining of third-party approvals.

Since joining ABNR early in 2023, she has worked on multiple land acquisition transactions in Greater Jakarta and West Nusa Tenggara, the bulk of which involve office and apartment complexes and villa resorts, and has advised clients on lease and land utilization agreements, and land title registration.

Currently, Ze is assisting a potential investor to acquire leases in the Sanur Health and Tourism Special Economic Zone, Bali, which is earmarked for the development of healthcare facilities, tourist accommodation, conference and exhibition facilities, an ethnomedicinal botanic garden, and a wellness center.

Ze holds a law degree from the University of Indonesia, majoring in economic law, and an LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley, with a certificate in business law. She was admitted to the Indonesian bar in 2023.
