ABNR at the 4th Asia-Pacific Employment Summit, hosted by International Employment Lawyer (IEL)

ABNR is proud to have taken part in the 4th Asia-Pacific Employment Summit, hosted by International Employment Lawyer (IEL) in Marina One, Singapore (1–2 July 2026).

Our Partner, Ridzky F. Amin, spoke on the panel "Making tough calls: The disputes keeping in-housers up at night", a session that digs into the recurring, fact-sensitive disputes that in-house employment teams across APAC actually wrestle with day to day.

Ridzky shared the stage with a strong line-up of practitioners from across the region:

Moderated by Stephanie Chiu, Partner, Freshfields (Hong Kong)

Panellists:

Annabelle Wong, Legal Counsel, Employment Legal APAC, Fidelity International (Hong Kong)

Benjamin Gaw, Director, Corporate and M&A, Drew & Napier (Singapore)

Lisa Zhao, Partner, Fangda Partners (China)

Maria Crabb, Director, Employment Counsel, Palo Alto Networks (Singapore)

As a key takeaway, Ridzky encouraged in-house and employment counsels to always consider the practical and cultural aspects in the particular jurisdiction, in addition to legal consideration, when dealing with multi-jurisdictional matters, as practical and cultural aspects often play significant roles in how a matter is shaped and handled.

We are grateful to International Employment Lawyer for bringing together such an engaging group of in-house counsel and practitioners from across the region. ABNR was pleased to support this important forum for sharing perspectives, strengthening regional connections, and discussing the evolving challenges facing employers across Asia-Pacific.

We look forward to continuing these conversations. If you would like to discuss employment law developments or cross-border workplace issues in Indonesia, please feel free to reach out to our team.
