ABNR Speaks at OJK Internal Seminar on Capital Market Reform

On 6 March 2026, ABNR Partner Novario Asca Hutagalung and Associate Aldi Prapanca spoke at an internal seminar hosted by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in Jakarta, on the theme of issuer governance and Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) transparency amid evolving global risks.

Drawing on the firm's advisory work across capital markets transactions and regulatory matters, they examined the range of UBO structures currently in use, addressing the practical complexities of identification, disclosure, and reporting. The discussion reflected what practitioners encounter in working with issuers, investors, and market participants — and included observations on where the current regulatory framework could benefit from greater clarity, alongside recommendations to OJK on how issuer governance and UBO transparency standards could be taken further.

Partner Ayik Gunadi joined the session, continuing his engagement with OJK on regulatory developments shaping Indonesia's capital markets.

This is ABNR's third appearance in OJK's seminar programme under the Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Quality Control division, led by Ms. Sophia Wattimena. ABNR thanks Associates Jyestha Herawanto and Jennifer Astrid for their contributions to the session materials.
