KAI’s Rp 2 Trillion Islamic and Conventional Bonds Issue Listed on IDX

ABNR would like to congratulate Indonesian state railways PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) (KAI) on their recent issuance of IDR 2 trillion (USD 136 million) in conventional and Islamic bonds. The bonds were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on 8 August.

Proceeds from the bonds in the amount of IDR 1 trillion will be used to repay debt principal arising from KAI Bonds I Year 2017 Series A, which mature on 21 November 2022, while the remainder will be used to finance the development of railway infrastructure in southern Sumatra and the procurement of rolling stock for the Adi Soemarmo International Airport rail link in Central Java.

The ABNR team that worked on the project was headed by partner Mr. Ayik C. Gunadi, and included partner Ms. Rita Taufik, senior associate Mr. Novario Hutagalungand associate Ms. Jaime Angelique.
