“What does it really take to become a corporate lawyer?”
Last Saturday, 9 August 2025, ABNR Counsellors at Law opened its doors to 101 outstanding students from 23 universities across Indonesia for our Open Day. These students, selected from hundreds of applicants in their 3rd semester and beyond, were invited to see first-hand what life as a corporate lawyer truly looks like.
In two engaging sessions (morning and afternoon), our lawyers—from juniors to partners—shared their insights on:
What it means to be a corporate lawyer in today’s world.
The daily responsibilities, challenges, and rewards of the role.
The diverse practice areas at ABNR.
The impact corporate lawyers have on society.
Why our lawyers choose to 'berkarya' (contribute) at ABNR.
The day included interactive Q&A sessions, overflowing with curiosity, where students explored everything from career paths to the finer details of legal practice. Guided office tours offered a closer look at our working environment, and the discussions reflected the participants’ genuine eagerness to learn and grow. We also informed the students that ABNR uses its podcast platform to educate the public, offering content that benefits a wide audience—from law students to seasoned professionals—who may gain valuable insights by tuning in.
At ABNR, regeneration is key. Knowledge is never kept to ourselves, but shared freely to help nurture the next generation of legal professionals. We believe that when we invest in future talent, we shape a better legal community for tomorrow.
We are proud to have spent the day inspiring these bright young minds, and we are hopeful they now carry a deeper understanding of the profession and the confidence to step forward as future corporate lawyers.
