Rachman joined ABNR as an associate  in 2013 after graduating from University of Indonesia, majoring in Procedural Law. He focuses on mergers & acquisitions (M&A), foreign direct investment (FDI), capital markets, and manpower.

Over the course of his career, he has accumulated extensive industry-sector knowledge in a variety of fields such as general mining, plantations and agriculture, shipping, and trading.  

In M&A, he worked on and led several projects, including the acquisition of PT Momentum Investama Indonesia by a Singapore shipping company; PT Lumbung Padi Indonesia by Wilmar group; PT Mitra Aneka Rezeki by Artha Graha group; PT Sungai Danau Jaya and PT Tanah Bumbu Resource by Geo Energy Group (Singapore public listed company);

He also advised on the acquisition of PT Nagata Dinamika Hidro Madong by Kencana Group (Indonesia-listed); and PT Jason Marintama Servindo by Kim Heng Marine & Oilfield Pte. Ltd. His work included advising on compliance issues, due diligence, restructuring, document preparation, and execution procedures. 

In FDI, Rachman advises on all aspects of foreign investment law in Indonesia, including  limitations on foreign share participation, requirements to establish FDI companies, documentation, regulatory and compliance issues, and all aspects of doing business for foreign investors in Indonesia. He assisted Bazara Group on the establishment of PT Kenda Resources International and Givi Asia Group on the establishment of PT Moto Tech Srl.

In capital markets, he worked on both onshore and offshore debt and equity offerings such as the initial public offerings (IPOs) of shipping company PT Capitol Nusantara Indonesia and renewable energy company PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk; the delisting of PT Unitex; bond offerings of PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk and PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero).

Rachman advised Singapore-based Geo Energy Resources Ltd on bond issuance, and Samurai 2K Aerosol Limited on its IPO, both on the Singapore Stock Exchange.

In employment, he advised on several industrial relations disputes, representing and assisting multinational and domestic corporations over immigration investigations, negotiations, bipartite and tripartite meetings, and attending court hearings.
