Nisriina Fanaro joined ABNR in November 2021 as a trainee and became an associate in November 2022. She focuses on general corporate/mergers & acquisitions (M&A), foreign direct investment (FDI), and manpower.

In FDI, she has assisted foreign investors in establishing a legal presence in Indonesia and advised on business compliance in Indonesia, including on the choice of suitable lines of business and use of the latest version of the official business licensing portal. A recent assignment involved assisting with the establishment of a new Indonesian airport duty-free joint venture by Switzerland’s Dufry, Mexico’s Omega Group, and well-known Indonesian retailer PT Sarinah.

In the manpower arena, she advises domestic and multinational companies on employment-related issues such as ensuring that employment contracts are legally compliant, the rules governing the employment of expatriates, termination of employment, and calculation of employee benefits and entitlements.

In addition, she has been a member of ABNR teams that conducted due diligence for acquisitions, initial public offerings (IPO), and bond issuances.

Nisriina graduated cum laude from Gadjah Mada University in 2021, majoring in business law. While there, she represented her university in various national and international law competitions. In 2018, her team won first place in the Frans Seda Cup, an Indonesian moot court competition. She also represented her university at the International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition, and the Foreign Direct Investment Moot Court Competition in South Korea.

Prior to joining ABNR, Nisriina  interned at several prominent law firms in Jakarta, where she worked on M&A, project finance, and dispute resolution matters.
