Fauzan has been with ABNR since 2017, having graduated from Padjadjaran University, Bandung, in finance law. He specializes in M&A (mergers and acquisition), and has extensive knowledge of both foreign and domestic investment in a variety of related fields, including financial technology, financial services, and e-commerce.
In financial technology, he assisted a well-known smartphone manufacturer in Asia to invest in a peer-to-peer lending operator company in Indonesia. He advised a US-based venture capital firm on the financial technology regulatory framework in Indonesia. He also works with the Indonesian Fintech Association in its preparation of codes of conduct and policy papers on aspects of financial technology.
In financial services, he assisted Industrial Bank of Korea in its acquisition of two Indonesian banks, PT Bank Mitraniaga Tbk and PT Bank Agris Tbk. He has also advised a Norway-based microfinance institution to providing investment funds to smallholders in Kalimantan province, through microfinance loans. He also assisted an Indonesian state-owned commercial bank to examine and review its non-performing loan portfolio.
In e-commerce, he has been involved in assisting Facebook on its investment in second-round financing of GoPay, a digital subsidiary of the widely diversified Indonesian superapp, Gojek. He was also part of a team counseling Mitsubishi Corporation on investment in the parent company of the ride-hailing arm of Gojek. He was also counsel to a well-known Singapore-based financial services institution for its investment in Indonesian.
