Jason is an associate at ABNR whose practice spans projects & energy, corporate/mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and foreign direct investment (FDI).

In the projects & energy sector, Jason has been involved in legal due diligence and advisory work for several major infrastructure initiatives in Indonesia. His experience includes the 250-MW Muara Laboh Geothermal Power Plant Expansion Project, the 1000-MW Cirebon Expansion Project, the 110-MW Blawan Ijen Geothermal Power Plant Project, and the Karian-Serpong Regional Water Supply Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Project. He supports project sponsors, lenders, and investors on regulatory reviews, project structuring, and key documentation.

In corporate/M&A, Jason assists both domestic and international clients with due diligence investigations, share transfers, and M&A transactions across various sectors. He advised Columbia Asia Healthcare Sdn. Bhd. on the indirect acquisition of PT Affinity Health Indonesia (subsidiary of Ramsay Sime Darby Group which operates several Ramsay Hospital in Indonesia). He also advised LX International Corp. on the acquisition of 100% shares in PT Kinarya Prima Utama, which is bidding to develop the Teunom 3 Hydroelectric Power Plant Project in Banda Aceh, Indonesia.  In general corporate matters, he handles corporate housekeeping matters, including capital injections, shareholders’ meetings, and amendments to articles of association.

In the FDI space, he advises new and existing foreign investors on the regulatory framework for doing business in Indonesia. His work covers business classification under the Indonesian Standard Industrial Classification (KBLI), OSS licensing, and investment reporting requirements across a range of sectors. Recently, he assisted a China-based company with an approximately USD 600 million investment to establish and operate a chemical plant within one of Indonesia’s largest industrial estates. 

Jason graduated from Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR) in 2021. During his studies, he represented UNPAR in the 16th and 17th Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Hong Kong, where the team was awarded Best Memorandum on both occasions.

He joined ABNR in 2022 as a trainee associate and was promoted shortly to becoming associate thereafter. Prior to joining ABNR, Jason practiced at a prominent Jakarta law firm, focusing on dispute resolution.
