Marlon is an associate at ABNR with a growing practice in restructuring & insolvency and dispute resolution. Since joining the firm in 2022, he has represented and advised clients in high-stakes proceedings before Indonesian courts and arbitration forums, as well as in regulatory and criminal investigations.
In restructuring & insolvency, Marlon has acted for creditor-side clients in major debt restructuring and bankruptcy proceedings in Indonesia. His recent experience includes representing multiple aircraft lessors in the restructuring of PT Sriwijaya Air in 2023, and advising the trustee of noteholders in the filing of a claim worth IDR 7 trillion (approx. USD 480 million) in the 2024 bankruptcy of Sritex Group, Southeast Asia’s largest textile manufacturer. He also advises on insolvency risk and legal considerations in connection with business and investment transactions.
In dispute resolution, Marlon represents clients in a broad range of commercial disputes across the construction, logistics, real estate, and distribution sectors. He also advises clients in state administrative litigation, particularly in cases involving government decisions that affect business operations.
Marlon is also experienced in handling criminal procedures and regulatory investigations. Notably, he successfully defended international vessel operators in a high-profile case involving the alleged illegal sand dredging in Indonesian waters. Following extensive engagement with authorities, the vessels were released due to insufficient evidence—a resolution that drew national attention.
Marlon earned his law degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia in 2021, majoring in state administrative law. Prior to joining ABNR, he practiced at a leading Indonesian law firm, where he focused on commercial litigation, arbitration, and general corporate matters.
