Khosyi, who joined ABNR as an associate in December 2021, focuses his practice on commercial and criminal litigation, as well as broader dispute resolution matters.
He has represented a wide range of domestic and international clients in matters involving marine protection and indemnity (P&I) claims, cargo shipment disputes, shareholder and property disputes, state administrative disputes before the administrative court, and debt-restructuring cases before the Commercial Court. Notably, he acted for the Indonesian subsidiary of a US-based multinational shipping company in a civil case involving a lost cargo claim, securing an amicable settlement and withdrawal of the plaintiff’s lawsuit. In another matter, he successfully defended an oil and gas mining company in a Supreme Court civil review involving a USD 1.8 million tort claim brought by a former employee.
In white-collar crime, Khosyi advises and accompanies clients at various stages of criminal procedure, including police examinations, filings of complaints, and examinations before the Attorney General’s Office. He has also assisted clients with anti-corruption and anti-bribery policy development and compliance.
In maritime-related disputes, one of his primary achievements includes successfully assisting the owner of two Sierra Leone-flagged vessels detained in Batam for alleged illegal sea sand dredging in Indonesian waters. He accompanied the vessel crews during examinations by civil service investigators at the Directorate General of Marine and Fisheries Resources Surveillance.
He is also regularly involved in real estate and TMT-related transactional matters that intersect with litigation. His recent work includes representing a client in a USD 13 million land acquisition in Bali, where he played a key role in navigating contentious negotiations with the seller.
Khosyi earned his law degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia in 2016, majoring in Law and Economics. Prior to joining ABNR, he worked at another prominent Jakarta law firm, where he gained hands-on experience in commercial and criminal litigation, including cases involving regulatory authorities and law enforcement agencies.
