Kartika joined ABNR in June 2012, and is a senior associate whose main areas of practice encompass corporate/mergers & acquisitions (M&A), foreign direct investment (FDI), capital markets, plantations, and real estate. She is one of six ABNR lawyers on the 2022 list of “Indonesia’s top 50 up-and-coming future legal leaders” published by prestigious Hong Kong-based legal publication Asia Business Law Journal (ABLJ).

In corporate/M&A, she has led and been involved in several projects including assisting Hana Financial Group in the merger of PT Bank KEB Indonesia with PT Bank Hana, the share sale-and-purchase of PT Tokopedia by Sequoia Investment, and the acquisition of several renewable energy companies by Kencana Group. She also assisted clients in preparing and maintaining corporate documents and their compliance.

In FDI, Kartika provided advice to many foreign investors, and assisted clients in establishing foreign investment companies, including Wanda Group, East Venture Group, Oriente Group, and some telecommunications, media, and technology group companies.

In capital markets, she has been involved in Initial Public Offering (IPO) projects, including the IPO of PT Kencana Energi Lestari, Tbk., the proposed IPO of a shipping company in the development board, and other public companies. She has also assisted some clients in the sale and purchase of share transactions in public companies.

In plantations, Kartika has extensive experience of advising plantation companies, and has assisted clients with their legal due diligence investigations of several plantation companies for a variety of transactions, including the share acquisition of PT Bima Palma Nugraha and PT Bima Agri Sawit by PT Dharma Satya Nusantara, Tbk., and the IPO of a Malaysian company with three plantation subsidiaries in Indonesia.

In real estate, she has assisted clients with land acquisition aspects of major infrastructure projects, such as the Tanjung Jati A Power-Plant Project, and with land acquisition for several data center projects in Batam and Bekasi.

Kartika graduated in February 2012 from Parahyangan Catholic University as the Best Graduate. During her university years, she received in 2011 the “Mahasiswa Berprestasi” award for West Java and Banten provinces.

In 2010, she was the recipient of the Best Oralist award, and her team was also an award recipient in the Sciencesational Debate Competition, held at University of Indonesia. She was also Vice Chair of UNPAR’s Student Representative Assembly and a member of the Parahyangan Law Debate Community Council. In 2017, she was awarded an LL.M degree cum laude from Leiden University, majoring in International Civil and Commercial Law. Prior to joining ABNR, she worked as an intern at a mining company in Jakarta.
