Prior to joining ABNR in 2023, Edgar (장순필) practiced as a foreign lawyer at a Korea-based tier-1 law firm and served as in-house counsel to an Indonesian corporate group. His practice focuses on foreign direct investment, corporate and M&A, where he advises multinational clients on market entry, cross-border transactions, and ongoing compliance in Indonesia. He frequently handles the Indonesian workstreams of M&A and spin-off transactions and drafts transaction documents for share purchases, joint ventures, mergers, share subscriptions, asset deals, and shareholders' agreements. Edgar also advises on end-to-end subsidiary establishment, including OSS submissions, and risk-based investment filings with BKPM. His recent highlights are as follows:

• MOUs between the Government of Indonesia and leading Korean corporations.

• Posco International on the proposed acquisition of Sampoerna Agro and more than 20 subsidiaries with a total investment of approximately USD 900 million.

• Posco Holdings on a nickel smelter joint venture in Indonesia with Tsingshan.

• LG Energy Solution's EV battery joint venture with Hyundai Auto, recognized by TXF as a "Deal of the Year."

Commercial Disputes

• PT Bank Woori Saudara 1906 Tbk on a fact-finding investigation concerning an approximate IDR 1.28 trillion loss.

• PT Bank KEB Hana Indonesia on successful appeal and judicial review proceedings against PT Ramagloria Sakti Tekstil Industri (claim approx. IDR 880 billion).

Restructuring & Insolvency

• Advised a creditor, Incheon Airport, in the USD 9.8 billion court-sanctioned restructuring of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk—the largest Indonesian court-approved restructuring to date.

• Advised multiple foreign-owned Indonesian companies in PKPU and bankruptcy proceedings.
