Nesya is a rising corporate specialist at ABNR whose practice spans mergers & acquisitions (M&A), banking & finance, and capital markets, with a particular focus on the financial services sector and fintech transactions.

In M&A and banking & finance, she regularly advises international and Indonesian clients on the structuring and execution of complex transactions, including legal due diligence, regulatory approvals, and compliance strategy. Her recent mandates include advising on the acquisition of Indonesian banks, multi-finance companies, securities firms, and insurers by prominent global financial groups. She also supports multinational financial institutions and digital finance providers in navigating regulatory frameworks under Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK), including in relation to digital banking, licensing, and day-to-day compliance.

Nesya was a key member of the ABNR team that advised on Hanwha Group’s acquisition of PT Bank Nationalnobu Tbk, PT Ciptadana Sekuritas Asia, and PT Ciptadana Asset Management. This landmark transaction between the South Korean conglomerate and the Lippo Group aims to strengthen Hanwha’s presence in Indonesia’s financial services industry by acquiring a publicly listed bank, a securities company, and an investment management company. She worked extensively on the due diligence, transaction execution, fit and proper test, and other post-closing regulatory requirements. She also assisted other South Korean clients on similar transactions, including Woori Card’s acquisition of PT Batavia Prosperindo Finance Tbk and Business Partner Co’s acquisition of Tez Capital and Finance.

In the capital markets sphere, Nesya has worked on a broad spectrum of equity and debt offerings—including domestic and offshore initial public offerings (IPOs), rights issues, tender offers, bonds, and sukuk—providing transactional and regulatory advice to both issuers and stakeholders. Her work includes preparation of legal opinions, prospectus reviews, and regulatory submissions.

She was a part of ABNR team that advised PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk in their IDR 550 billion sukuk issuance. She was also a key ABNR team that advised Bank IBK Indonesia for 3 of their IDR 1 trillion rights issue (PUT IV, PUT V, and PUT VI), as a part of IBK Bank Korea’s long-term strategic plan to strengthen IBK Bank Indonesia’s position in the Indonesian financial services sector.

Nesya graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (S.H.) from Gadjah Mada University, majoring in business law. She subsequently earned a Master of Science in Law and Finance (MSc), a program jointly taught by Faculty of Law and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, with the support of a full merit-based scholarship from Indonesia’s Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP). Her international training and academic background enable her to offer commercial insight and cross-border fluency in highly regulated industries.
