Putri is a senior associate who focuses her practice on foreign direct investment (FDI), general corporate, and mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and energy and natural resources.
In FDI, she advises across the entire spectrum of foreign investment law in Indonesia, including the establishment of foreign investment companies, business licensing and approval (and the use of Online Single Submission system, the government online investment licensing portal), the Negative List (a comprehensive list of sectors that are fully open, partly open or fully closed to FDI) and regulatory and general compliance matters.
In general corporate, her advice has involved management of day-to-day corporate affairs and compliance matters of several prominent oil and gas support services companies with the headquarters in the United States of America and China.
In M&A practice, Putri has assisted high-end multinational clients with their M&A deals in Indonesia and the drafting of transaction documents, such as share purchase agreements, share subscription agreements, asset purchase agreements, shareholders agreements and related commercial agreements.
Her recent work in FDI and M&A practice involved advising joint ventures between a leading Chinese EV battery producer with Indonesian state-owned enterprises on the development of integrated upstream-to-downstream lithium-ion battery projects in Indonesia; a US-based multinational oil and gas equipment client in the acquisition of an Indonesian oil-and-gas-field services provider from its Singaporean parent company; and a Luxembourg-based company leading in food, environment, pharmaceutical and cosmetic product testing in the acquisition of a local laboratory testing services company. She has also worked in numerous FDI projects in integrated upstream and downstream gold, nickel, bauxite and iron-ore processing industries.
Putri holds a Bachelor of Law’s degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia, where she majored in business law. In 2015, she received an Australia Awards Scholarship for postgraduate studies and in 2016 she completed her LL.M program at the University of Sydney, New South Wales, where she took units of study on international business law as well as energy and natural resources.
