Ershad joined ABNR as a trainee associate in November 2022, and was made associate shortly thereafter. His main areas of practice encompass manpower, projects & energy, and corporate/mergers & acquisitions (M&A).

In manpower, he advises clients on a wide range of employment-related issues, including employment agreements, secondment agreements, employee handbooks, the employment of expatriate workers, formulating and executing employment termination strategies in industrial relations disputes, and calculating employee benefits and entitlements.

In projects & energy, he is a member of the dedicated ABNR team that advises on renewable energy and social infrastructure projects, such as the ongoing 110-MW Blawan Ijen Geothermal Power Plant Project and the Karian-Serpong Water Supply Public-Private Partnership Project.

In corporate/M&A, he has been involved in a series of M&A-related due diligence projects and transactions across a wide variety of economic sectors, as well as general corporate matters.

He also contributes from time to time to ABNR’s dispute resolution (ADR) practice. Most recently, he was a member of the ABNR team that represented a subsidiary of a Chinese state-owned enterprise in relation to a breach of contract claim in an arbitration proceeding before the Indonesian National Board of Arbitration (BANI).

Ershad graduated cum laude from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, in 2022, majoring in public international law.
