Christine Hakim has been a senior associate at ABNR since January 2020. In July 2010 she was one of the best graduates from Parahyangan Catholic University law faculty. During her university years, she participated in the 2008 Manfred Lach International Space Law Moot Court Competition in Sydney, Australia. She also took part in the 2009 and 2010 Indonesia rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in Jakarta, in which her team won awards.

 

She took a short break from professional practice to pursue further studies at Leiden University, taking International Civil and Commercial Law as her major. In 2017, graduated with an LLM degree and returned to ABNR. From her Leiden studies, she gained a deep and more extensive knowledge of civil and commercial law from international, EU and Indonesian legal perspectives.

 

During her time with ABNR she has assisted clients in general corporate and investment matters, and has been involved in several major transactions involving initial public offerings (IPOs), financing, company restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and e-commerce transactions.

 

She worked on the IPO of PT Mitrabahtera Segara Sejati Tbk (2011), the acquisition of PT Mandala Airlines by Indonesian private equity Saratoga group (2011), the IPO of PT Toba Bara Sejahtra Tbk (2012), and a joint venture between a synthetic rubber factory and a French Company in Indonesia (2013).

 

Her professional experience also includes the merger of large companies in Indonesia working in  water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions (2014), and the acquisition of a hospital (2016) and car parking management companies (2019 and 2020). Her corporate work has also encompassed the acquisition of a rural bank in Indonesia by a payment gateway company (2021), the establishment of a variety of peer-to-peer business arranegements, start-ups involving domestic and international private equity initiatives, and other projects.
