Elizabeth is an Australian trained and qualified lawyer specialising in general corporate, M&A and banking matters. Having lived in Indonesia for twenty years, she holds a unique insight into both Indonesian and Western culture and business. She is experienced working in a broad range of sectors including pharmaceuticals, health and medical technology, financial services, insurance, media, construction, manufacturing, advertising and not-for-profit.
Elizabeth advises listed and non-listed major entities on their general corporate and banking transactions. Her experience includes acting on regional and international company mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and restructuring, including preparation of transaction documents including share purchase deeds, shareholder agreements, corporate documentation required to give effect to transactions, and preparation of terms and conditions of trade. She also specialises in advising on corporate governance issues and acts for not-for-profit organisations on a wide range of issues including corporate governance, preparation of services agreements, sponsorship and contractual arrangements.
Elizabeth is a graduate of the Australian National University, where she earned a Juris Doctor with first class honours as well as a Graduate Certificate in International Affairs. At the time of completing her Juris Doctor thesis, she worked as a legal analyst for prominent Indonesian legal media organisation, Hukumonline. Elizabeth regularly publishes articles concerning Indonesian law and offers her time as a guest lecturer at several Indonesian universities. Additionally, she was admitted to the New South Wales Supreme Court, Australia, in 2019 and is a registered foreign lawyer in Indonesia. She is an active member of the Australia Indonesia Association, Indonesia Australia Business Council, and Rotary Club Jakarta Metropolitan.
